In June of 2009, after the economic crisis of 2008, Lynn left Minneapolis, MN to embark on a professional spec-writing journey in New Orleans, LA, when post-Katrina recovery efforts were in full swing. After six years of being an in-house architectural spec writer at an award-winning architectural firm, she decided to go it her own and take advantage of the flexibility while caring for her toddler. A few years later, it was right back to Minneapolis to plant roots and pick up a few new clients along the way.

Lynn continues to find spec writing fulfilling as she engages with design teams from a range of market sectors. Her favorite part of the job is reviewing construction details and honing in on the best fit for emerging product sets and performance requirements. In her spare time, she has flexed her design muscle by designing an addition to her home and feeds her craving for learning construction methods and materials by taking on small DIY projects.
